Fresno Launches with free uberX rides for a month
We have a big announcement for The Best Little City in the U.S.A.: uberX is now available in Fresno. With the tap of our smartphone app, Fresnans can request safe, reliable rides and a driver will be curbside in a matter of minutes.
Uber fares are already 20 percent cheaper than a taxi, but to celebrate our new Central Valley home, we’re giving away free uberX rides for the entire month of February. Starting today through the end of the month, we’re footing the bill for six rides, up to $25 each. Just download the Uber app and enter the promotion code below.
Uber will take you wherever you’d like to go, whether that’s a late-night trip to a bar in Fig Garden, shopping on Shaw Avenue or watching Triple-A ball in Downtown Fresno (spring is right around the corner, after all).
HOW TO USE UBER
- Download Uber via the App Store
- Sign up and enter FRESLOVESuberX in the promotions menu
- Set your pickup location
- Request a ride
- When your driver arrives, tell them where you’re headed
- Everything’s taken care of in the app — no need for cash
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
For the month of February — nothing. But even after Fresno Free uberX Month expires, we’ve made certain that uberX is more affordable than a taxi. Uber’s the cheapest car ride in town and you can request a ride without leaving your living room (bar stool, stadium seat…wherever you may be).
That’s it. We have a feeling that after this month, Fresnans will have plenty of love for uberX.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. And feel free to share #FRESLOVESuberX wherever you like — we want the entire city to know Fresno Free uberX Month has arrived.
We’re excited to launch Payment Rewards — a way to discover, track, and redeem rewards right in the Uber app. We’re kicking it off with Capital One®, where every 10th ride is free (up to $15) when you pay with a Quicksilver® or QuicksilverOne® card through March 2017.
Today, I’m excited to announce that Arianna Huffington will join Uber’s board. For those of us who know Arianna, it’s clear she knows a thing or two about being an entrepreneur. As the founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, she’s built one of the most successful, innovative media companies in the world… from scratch. […]
