Why I Drive — Meet Joseph

Every day, thousands of Uber driver-partners reach out and share their stories about why they choose to partner with the Uber platform. From college students to retirees to veterans, every story is different. Meet Joseph, Uber driver-partner in Phoenix.

At first glance, Joseph seems like your typical, hard-working father, but here’s the kicker: he’s also one of our Nation’s TOP Taekwondo athletes. He has trained countless hours and earned the honor of representing Team USA in the World Taekwondo Championships in Italy, along with his teammates at JSK Taekwondo.

The only problem is that he and his team need to cover the entire cost of trip out of their own pockets.

Joseph has chosen to partner with Uber to earn extra money to help him pay for training and support his dream of being a World Taekwondo Champion. He’s a top rated partner, with 3,000+ trips under his belt (pun intended). So when we heard about Joseph’s #WhyIDrive story, we wanted to help get the word out.

Team JSK needs $5,000 to make their dreams come true. If you want to help Joseph and his teammates get to Italy, visit their GoFundMe page and chip in a few extra dollars to help!
