Phoenix uberX Rider Zero: Jim Adkins

Phoenix area home-town hero Jim Adkins travels a lot. His band, Jimmy Eat World, is always on the road, and just got home for a short break from a multi-week U.S. tour to promote their newest album Damage.

Whether he’s grabbing grub in Atlanta, or sneaking a snack in Sacramento, Jim’s using Uber (they don’t let tour busses in the drive-thru anymore). So naturally when Jim wanted to catch a quick drink in his home town at his favorite local venue, he pulled up the Uber app to make his way down to¬†Crescent Ballroom. To his surprise, he saw a new ridesharing¬†car type, uberX. With cat-like reflexes, he tapped that app.

Within minutes, a 2013 Prius rolled up to the venue to carry him safely back home to hang with the Phoenix fam!

Celebrate with us tonight, Phoenix.
