UberGIVING – Thank you, London
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of London and more than 40 other cities across Europe. Together, we collected five and a half tube carriages worth of items in the UK to donate to Save the Children to help fund their Child Refugee Crisis Appeal, which supports thousands affected by the crisis.
Over the course of three days in 46 European cities, thousands of riders and hundreds of partner-drivers, UberGIVING collected enough donations to fill 10 shipping containers.
As always, none of this would be possible without our amazing partner-drivers, whose commitment and passion moved the riders they encountered. Many donated their payments for the day to the cause they were supporting.
“I know a lot of partner-drivers who have been through similar situations or much worse. That’s why I know UberGIVING is going to have a big impact. I will work harder than anyone else for UberGIVING. It’s very important, it’s precious.”
– Mohammed, London Uber Partner-driver
