Official Rules for Uber Contests and Sweepstakes

The UBER User Incentive (“Incentive”) is a trade incentive that begins at 8:00:00 AM Pacific Time on August 3, 2015, and ends at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time on the August 10, 2015 (the “Incentive Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: The Incentive is open to individuals who are UBER registered users prior to the start of the Survey who (i) are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older; (ii) have completed a ride using uberPOOL in either Los Angeles, CA, New York City, NY or San Francisco, CA (each a “Participating City” and collectively the “Participating Cities”); and (iii) have completed a Survey and entered their email address when requested.

MEANS OF ENTRY: During the Incentive Period, Uber will be conducting a survey regarding UBER user reasoning for requesting or not requesting specific vehicle selection in Uber’s mobile application (the “Uber App”). UBER users will be able to access the Survey via an invitation received via email from UBER. The completion of the Survey will generate one (1) entry for such participating UBER user.

UBER is not responsible for any typographical, printing, or other errors; or for scores/star ratings that are late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, garbled, undelivered, and delayed or any combination thereof.

WINNER DETERMINATION: At the conclusion of the Incentive Period, one UBER user from each of the Participating Cities will be selected at random and will be declared a “winner”. All winners will be determined on or about August 17, 2015. UBER reserves the right to determine fewer than three (3) winners if, in its sole discretion, it does not have a qualified contestant/winner for a given Participating City. If a winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, or if he/she is not in compliance with these terms and conditions, such winner will be disqualified and the corresponding prize may be awarded to the contestant with the next highest score received for the region the disqualified contestant originated.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: An email prize notification will be sent to each winner on or about August 17, 2015 based on the information UBER has on file for each winner. Each winner must also be able to receive phone calls from an unlisted number and have (or have access to) an internet connection to receive emails from UBER. All winners will be required to respond to the prize notification within twenty four (24) hours of notification deployment in order to receive an Affidavit or Declaration of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release (“Declaration”) which may need to be completed, signed and returned to UBER within forty eight (48) hours of Declaration deployment at UBER’s sole discretion. If a Declaration or prize notification is not returned within the specified time period stated herein, or if a Declaration or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or if the winner is otherwise found to be ineligible, or if a winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, then the winner will automatically forfeit the prize and, at UBER’s sole discretion and time permitting, an alternative winner may be determined.

OPERATOR: UBER is the operator of this Incentive.

ADDITIONAL TERMS: By participating in the Incentive, you acknowledge and agree that on behalf of yourself, your heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, you hereby release and forever discharge Uber, Uber partners or their drivers, advertising or promotion agencies, webmasters or any company involved in the creation, design, execution, production or fulfillment of the Incentive, and each of the foregoing from and against any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever, including without limitation any and all claims or liability relating to or based upon injuries, damages or losses to persons, including death, and property which may be sustained directly or indirectly as a result of (a) your participation in the Incentive; (b) your acceptance, receipt, ownership, misuse or use of the prize or any related activities; or (c) any use of your name, likeness, voice and biographical information.
