Uber 2.0 – Now on Android!
Hello Android, welcome to #TheRideAhead. We’re excited to partner with Samsung to give Android users their first look at Uber 2.0 during SXSW. Download the latest version of Uber on the Play Store now!
Uber users with Samsung Galaxy phones will be able to ride in FREE pedicabs for the duration of SXSW. How does it work? Easy! Just request an Uber Pedi from your Galaxy device! When it arrives, use your phone to scan the NFC and a browser should open up prompting you to sign in. That’s it! The code will automagically apply and your ride will be on the house.
So what does Uber 2.0 mean for you? We’ve upgraded the base model so you can roll out of the dealership with a whole new slew of bells and whistles.
- An app design as elegant and comfortable as the ride.
- An optimized networking stack that provides fast, accurate, real-time availability on all Uber vehicles.
- Fixed bugs, a full screen map view, streamlined credit card management, and improved social media integration and promotions.
Enjoy the ride ahead.
We’re excited to expand the Uber for Business platform beyond business travel, to include a world-class customer transportation solution, Uber Central. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
