Competition Rules for Uber Cup 2015, India
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. COMPETITION IS OPEN TO ONLY UBER REGISTERED PARTNER-DRIVERS IN THE 11 UBER CITIES ACROSS INDIA.
The UBER CUP 2015, INDIA: Win a trip to Australia – March 2015 is a competition that begins at 7 AM February 10, 2015 and ends at 7 AM March 2, 2015 (Competition Period).
TOP TWO PARTNER-DRIVERS WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE WILL WIN THE UBER CUP 2015 AND SENT ON AN ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP FOR TWO TO AUSTRALIA IN MARCH 2015.
IN EACH UBER CITY IN INDIA, TOP PARTNER-DRIVER WITH THE HIGHEST SCORE (EXCLUDING THE UBER CUP 2015 WINNERS) WILL WIN AN LED TV AND 1ST RUNNER-UP WILL WIN A SMARTPHONE.
ALL WINNERS WILL BE DETERMINED AND ANNOUNCED ON MARCH 5, 2015.
Competition is open to all UBER registered partner-drivers who
(i) have been a Uber partner-driver prior to or becomes a Uber partner-driver during the course of the competition
(ii) have all necessary international travel documents and authorizations or the requisite proofs and documents to get the necessary international travel documents and authorizations, including but not limited to a valid passport, permit or visa to travel from your place of residence to Australia before the date of travel;
(iii) are physically located, and reside and drive in a participating territory (i.e., city, province, etc.) in one of the following cities in India:
- New Delhi
HOW TO QUALIFY TO COMPETE:
As a contestant, and to be considered for a prize, at the end of the Competition Period, you must: a) maintain over 80% Acceptance Rate during the competition period; and b) have no major complaints from a rider
HOW TO SCORE RUNS:
One (1) run will be awarded for every hour (or part therefore) driving on the App (up to ten (10) hours per day or ten (10) runs per day). Two (2) runs will be awarded for every 4-star or 5-star rated trip during the Competition Period for valid trips only and Four (4) runs for every successful driver referral made during the competition period. Uber’s algorithm and computer system shall be the official time and score keeper for the Competition, including each partner-driver’s eligible hours. Only driver referrals that register and get activated on Uber before the end of the Competition Period will be awarded runs.
Only valid Uber rides will be awarded runs. Any trip accepted and canceled by partner-driver will count against the partner-driver’s acceptance rate. Any contestant who does not abide by UBER’s current standard partner-driver terms will be disqualified. Furthermore, a partner-driver will be automatically disqualified if he/she:
- Has another individual driving on his/her behalf while the App is opened during the Competition Period.
- Faking location on the UBER driver device in order to gain an unfair dispatch advantage.
- Pre-arranging trips with a friend/family member to increase the number of trips and high ratings. (The number of trips a partner-driver does with an individual rider should be in line with system-wide averages.)
At the conclusion of the Competition Period, the two highest partner-drivers with the highest score in India will be declared winners. All winners will be determined and announced on March 5, 2015. Uber reserves the right to determine fewer than two (2) winners if, in its sole discretion, it does not have a qualified contestant/winner. If a winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, or if he/she is not in compliance with these Terms and Conditions, such winner will be disqualified and the corresponding prize may be awarded to the contestant with the next highest score received. Additionally, in each Uber city, top run scorer (excluding the Uber Cup 2015 winners) will win a LED TV and 1st runner-up will win a smartphone. Uber reserves the discretion to determine the brand and model of the LED TV and smartphone.
In the event of a tie among contestants in a given region, the contestant with the highest star-rating from among the tied contestants over the course of the Competition Period will be declared the winner. In the event of a further tie, the contestant from among the tied contestants who achieved the most 5 star trip rating during the Competition Period will be declared the winner. In the event of a further tie, the contestant from among the tied contestants that achieved the highest score for trip acceptance will be declared the winner
The decisions of the Uber are final and binding on all matters relating to selection of all winners. Uber reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason, in its sole and absolute discretion.
Winners of the competition will win an all expense paid trip for two to Melbourne, Australia for 4 days 3 nights. Expenses will include and limited to airfare, accommodation and general tourist expenses.
