The National Salute to Veteran Patients
The week of February 14 is not only a time to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it’s also National Salute to Veteran Patients Week. It’s a time to show our support for those who are still healing from the wounds–both visible and invisible–they suffered while serving our country.
TAKE A MOMENT TO THANK A VETERAN HERO
As part of our on-going commitment to veterans through UberMILITARY, Uber is participating in the National Salute this year. We are giving riders and drivers across the country a way to directly express their gratitude to veterans of the U.S. armed services who are being cared for by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Today and tomorrow we’re collecting notes of appreciation for these veterans. The notes will be hand-delivered by a select group of UberMILITARY partners on February 13 to VA medical centers in Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Hampton Roads, Honolulu, New Jersey, New York City, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.
Each letter goes a long way. For every card submitted, Uber will donate $1 to the Bob Woodruff Foundation to support their efforts to help injured service members, veterans and their families thrive through rehabilitation and recovery programs.
