Take the Journey with Manchester United
Back in January we announced our global partnership with Manchester United, and we are thrilled today to let fans know about what’s coming up next. Starting March 16, riders in over 200 cities can unlock exclusive video content, and will have the opportunity to travel to Old Trafford for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
In these exclusive videos, star players including Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have fun revealing which teammate they’d most want to share an Uber with, and what rating – based on the Uber “5 Star” standard – they’d give to their teammates as a driver. They also answer questions like what they love most about playing for a legendary club like Manchester United.
To unlock this content, fans in select cities can simply open up the Uber app, swipe up on the Manchester United card to opt in, and watch on their next ride.
In addition to in-app content, throughout the rest of the season, fans will also get the chance to win a number of in-person experiences. Uber and Manchester United are offering “Pitch Day” – a day that gives a number of lucky fans around the world the chance to play on the pitch at Old Trafford, the Theatre of Dreams. Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in a Manchester United Soccer School a clinic taught by Manchester United Soccer School Coaches.
As part of Uber and Manchester United’s multi-year deal announced in January, fans can expect to see additional content and experiences around upcoming matches. Game on!
