Choice is a beautiful thing. Starting this week in a city near you, you’ll be able to select the type of Uber you want to get. Our classic black car option will continue to be available in all cities but we’ll be rolling out multiple types of vehicles on a city by city basis.

Following New Year’s, we received a fair amount of feedback to improve the UI around surge pricing to make it clearer and straight-forward. We’ve taken that feedback and iterated on the UI to provide clear and concise messaging in our iPhone and Android applications when surge pricing is in effect.
