Today we are announcing we have expanded our PayPal integration to 9 new countries. Riders in Canada, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden and Switzerland will be able to pay for rides with PayPal’s safe and secure payments system directly from the Uber app.

Surge Drop — which lets you know if surge pricing at your location ends within 30 minutes — will begin rolling out to iPhone users globally this week.
On Friday, July 19th, Uber Ice Cream is going global, serving ice cream on-demand to 33 cities across 10 countries.
Choice is a beautiful thing. Starting this week in a city near you, you’ll be able to select the type of Uber you want to get. Our classic black car option will continue to be available in all cities but we’ll be rolling out multiple types of vehicles on a city by city basis.
