Over the past few weeks as back-to-school season ramps up, Uber teams across the country hosted community events celebrating parents who drive with Uber, along with their families. Whether they drive most days, a few hours a week, or only now and then, the unique flexibility parents have with Uber can be a game changer.
As we prepare for the school season, Uber teams across the country are hosting a series of events to celebrate parents and their kids. Beginning this weekend, in Miami, Los Angeles, East Bay and Indianapolis, teams will bring together parent drivers, their kids, community organizations, and local officials to hear about parents’ experience as drivers with Uber and discuss the importance of these types of earning opportunities in communities nationwide.
Now more than ever, parents want flexibility. In a recent survey of Uber’s driver-partners, we found that 46% of partners have children under 18 living at home. And 85% of driver-partners cite flexibility as an important reason for partnering with Uber—so they can better balance their work and family priorities.
