SXSW – In Review
OMGUBERBBQ! This cry was heard all across Austin during SXSW, uttered by stunned festival goers. Not only did Uber offer on-demand pedicabs, allowing the Uber faithful to cruise past snarled traffic, but we had…OMG…on-demand BBQ sandwiches courtesy of hometown favorite Iron Works BBQ.
That’s right; at the push of a button, one of our BBQ brigade arrived in a specially modified pedicab, and delivered a complete BBQ meal, complete with an Uber-branded bib (now a collectors item). There may have been a few Uber bolo ties floating around as well :)
When it was all said and done, the Uber pedicabbers had shuttled a few thousand folks across Austin and served up a couple hundred pounds of tasty Texas BBQ. Conquering on-demand cars, then on-demand pedicabs, now on-demand BBQ!? What’s next!?

With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
