The Haze Might Be Inconvenient, Your Ride Home Shouldn’t Be
First and foremost, we do hope you’re doing your best to stay indoors and away from the hazardous smog Singapore is currently engulfed in. Uber Singapore folks are definitely working on, but we’re trying to do so from home as much as possible.
Of course, “stay indoors” is easier said than done. We know at times you just have to be out and about. Uber wants to continue doing its part in making everyone’s lives a little more convenient and a little more stylish (Read: Surgical masks!)
Request a Ride and Breath Easy!
Our driver partners have definitely decided to brave the smog, so it’s Uber app usage as usual. Go ahead and request a ride while you’re still in the office or home. You’ll be alerted when your car arrives via a text message. That way, you remain indoors and clear of the haze. Hop in, be driven to your destination and hop on out, enjoying the cashless (limited smog) experience.
We’ve also been scouting the streets, on the hunt for masks for our riders (not the easiest feat as every mask in Singapore seems to be sold out!). Luckily, we’ve managed to get a hold of a few boxes of surgical masks, so do feel free to grab one as you exit the Uber cocoon and head out into the smog.
Keep calm and Uber on Singapore!
We are excited to surpass the 100th city mark by welcoming two Brazilian cities, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, to the UberEATS family. We’re excited to expand the Uber for Business platform beyond business travel, to include a world-class customer transportation solution, Uber Central. A little over a year ago, we set out to put a new spin on an old classic–make reliable food delivery available at the tap of a button. Back then, we started by offering food in the UberEATS app from 1,000 pioneering restaurant partners in four cities. And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
