SG Enable And Uber Team Up To Support Persons With Disabilities

We’re proud to announce that Uber has teamed up with SG Enable in an effort to help persons with disabilities get around with ease in Singapore. For 2014, we’ve pledged 1,000 complimentary uberX rides to help Singaporeans with disabilities secure reliable, safe and high quality transportation. Persons with disabilities and their caregivers can use the Uber mobile app to connect with a commercially registered and commercially insured vehicle within a few minutes. We’ve found an excellent partner in Ms Ku Geok Boon, Chief Executive Officer of SG Enable, who’s helping us drive this forward, and absolutely appreciate her enthusiasm for this initiative:

“We are happy with Uber’s support in improving the travel options for persons with disabilities. We hope this will be the beginning of more fruitful collaboration with corporate partners like Uber. As an agency dedicated to serving persons with disabilities, we constantly seek innovative solutions to help persons with disabilities and caregivers with their needs.”

Uber is  delighted to work with SG Enable to support the agency’s outstanding work. To kick off the partnership, we will collaborate with SG Enable to facilitate transport arrangements for persons with disabilities to the Enabling Employers Awards Gala Dinner on 24th April, as well as upcoming events for persons with disabilities and the community.

We’re always looking for ways to contribute our community in Singapore as we grow here. If you have any ideas on how we can help support any initiatives you’re involved in, we’d love to hear from you! Send us a note at supportsingapore@uber.com and we’ll get right back to you.
