POOL for a Cause this National Day

Uber will donate $1 for every POOL ride taken on National Day

This National Day, we’ve partnered with the President’s Challenge to bring you POOL for a Cause –  uniting our riders as one to build a better and stronger Singapore. What better way to celebrate this special occasion than making something as simple as our commute more meaningful and rewarding? Together, we can pool funds to give back to the city we live in and love.

For each POOL ride you take on August 9, Uber will contribute $1 to the President’s Challenge.

Taking an uberPOOL ride this August doesn’t only mean getting to know your fellow neighbours and building a tighter community. With over 56 beneficiaries under their umbrella, the funds raised will support various causes in Singapore from eldercare, disability, rehabilitation, healthcare to uplifting the pioneer generation.

How it Works:

  1. Enter the code POOLFORSG under the Promotions tab in the Uber app for your ride to be part of this initiative
  2. Request an uberPOOL ride on 9 August, Tuesday
  3. Enjoy the ride, get to know your fellow neighbours and Uber will donate $1 for each POOL ride you take during this period

Let’s give purpose to our rides by pooling together as a nation for our country’s 51st birthday. Here’s to building our Singapore of tomorrow.

About the President’s Challenge

The President’s Challenge is a movement supported by the kindness and generosity of people from all walks of life, regardless of culture, religion or family background, under the President’s patronage. It is the President’s call to the nation to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society. Initiated by former President S R Nathan in 2000 and continued by President Tony Tan in 2012, to bring the community together to do their part to help the less fortunate.

Pro Trip: If you are heading to the NDP 2016 celebrations at the National Stadium, do take note of the road closures and no entry for vehicles within the Sports Hub’s vicinity.
