Philadelphia #UberEverywhere

Whether you’re a jet-setter or home town hero, we want you to enjoy #UberEverywhere.

In June of 2012, we brought the Uber magic to the City of Brotherly Love and Philly came on board as the 10th Uber launch. We got the ball rolling with Rider Zero Josh Kopelman, a local to Philly and one of our very own investors. By Independence Day we offered all you Philadelphians UberSUV, we delivered you roses on Valentine’s Day, and we even swapped your golf carts for Escalades during the 2013 U.S. Open.

In a place where Rocky, Ben Franklin and Geno hung their hats, Philly’s got a ton of sites to see and places to enjoy.

In a city with so much history and culture, choosing favorites is tough. We’ve compiled a list of some of Team Uber Philly’s go-to spots for drinks, bites, and team bonding.

1. Elixir Coffee

If you’ve ever met an Uber employee, chances are they had a caffeinated beverage close by. During our launch period, the Uber Philly team spent many hours grinding through work at Elixir thanks to the delicious bevvys and free WiFi! In its new location off of Walnut, Elixir boasts modern decor, a soothing atmosphere, and rich coffees and treats.

2. Zavino Wine Bar

On a cozy corner off Sansom, the Uber Philly Team celebrated its first day working together with small plates and good wine. Zavino is known for its brick oven pizza, eclectic wine selection and intimate seating. The brussel sprouts are a must!

3. Frankford Hall

Warm up on a cool night by Frankford Hall’s courtyard fire pits or cool down on a sunny day with an Adult Milkshake. Uber Philly has played plenty of rounds of ping pong and Jenga at Steven Starr’s German beer garden in Northern Liberties.

4. Talula’s Daily

We welcomed our fourth team member, Allison, with a prefixed Fall menu at Talula’s Daily. Enjoy a menu that changes with the month – 5 unique courses to fill you up in an open-kitchen setting that makes you feel at home.

5. Zahav

Hummus is on the weekly grocery list for the Uber Philly Office. Enjoy it FRESH at Zahav, along with a variety of to-die-for small plates. On a secluded street in Society Hill, this Israeli inspired gem is a can’t-miss.
