Today, we’re kicking off The Weekender here in Miami—our blog series offering Uber users tips and suggestions on where to go and what to do over the weekend. At Uber, we pride ourselves in having partner drivers who are transition servicemembers, veterans, and military spouses, and so as we gear up for Veterans Day on November 11, we felt it would be only appropriate to dedicate this post to all the vets!
Here are your Uber-approved suggestions for the weekend and beyond:

Head to Washington Avenue and join your fellow Miami community members for the Miami Beach Annual Veterans Day Parade. Festivities include marching bands, veterans groups, and the wreath laying ceremony, followed by a family picnic at the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium. The parade kicks off bright and early at 9am on November 11.
Hangar Hangout | Wings Over Miami Air Museum

Uber to Wings Over Miami Air Museum and check out its impressive collection of vintage aircraft, jets from the Cold War, and military trainers. Nearly all of the aircraft at the museum are in flying condition, and some of them are actually flown regularly on the weekends. The museum itself is a large airplane hangar, and if you visit, you’ll see that it remains operational. Planes go through maintenance and renovation right on site. Museum hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10am-5:00pm.
Meet the Makers | Miami Mini Maker Faire

Meet the makers of Miami at Saturday’s Miami Mini Maker Faire at The LAB. The city’s most creative entrepreneurs, engineers, and artisans will gather to showcase their latest inventions and creations. Whether you’re an entrepreneur yourself, or just curious to see what these folks have been working on, the faire should make for an inspiring Saturday afternoon.
Hot Wheels | Miami International Auto Show
