Smart Regulations for Ridesharing Arrive in the Land of Lincoln

Today, Governor Quinn officially signed SB 2774 — the bill designed to give ridesharing a permanent home in Illinois.

Moving Illinois Forward

Yesterday, the Illinois House and Senate passed SB 2774 – a compromise bill that prioritizes rider safety while preserving transportation choices and economic opportunity for drivers. State legislators acted on behalf of their constituents today – the riders and drivers who use uberX – and the cities and towns that depend on it in Illinois.

uberx belongs in ILLINOIS: Sustain the hb4075 veto

In July 2014, the Illinois State Senate passed HB 4075, a bill that hurts consumer choice and safety, limits economic development, and stifles the ability for cities to regulate transportation services in a way that meets their residents’ needs. In September 2014, Governor Quinn vetoed HB 4075 to protect consumer choice in Illinois.
