HB 4075

uberX is here to stay thanks to you, Illinois!

uberX launched in Illinois only a short 18 months ago and since then thousands of driver partners have moved hundreds of thousands of riders. Now, thanks to YOU, and the Illinois House of Representatives, uberX and rideshare can keep moving forward!

Mayors in every region of IL oppose HB 4075

Leaders across Illinois have showed their support for rideshare and the need for local municipalities to find the model that fits their citizens best. Mayors in every region of the state and multiple councils of government – collectively representing over 70 municipalities – voice their opposition of HB 4075.

Tell your State Rep to Stand with Uber!

This past August, Governor Quinn vetoed HB 4075, a bill that would have ended uberX as we know it in Illinois. Thank you for all your support. We’re thrilled that the Governor chose innovation over the status quo by supporting ridesharing in Illinois, but we need to make sure the state legislature doesn’t override the governor’s veto in the upcoming session. We need your help.

A Milestone for Innovation

Today’s a great day for innovation in Illinois. With the help of Governor Quinn, today we announced our plans to create 420 new jobs in Chicago by the end of 2016 as well as the expansion to our new regional office headquarters. Read more about Uber’s impact on Illinois here.

Uber On, Governor Quinn.

Governor Quinn showed us he is a champion for uberX and ridesharing today by veto’ing HB 4075. His decision to protect consumer choice and promote competition on Illinois’ streets shows his commitment to economic growth in Illinois.
