UberEATS Gives Toronto Businesses a Tasty Boost

At Uber, we are always looking for new ways to enhance the way people connect with their cities.  In Toronto, our most recent effort has been launching UberEATS and just last week we expanded the service area west of the downtown core, so that hungry Torontonians in Liberty Village and Little Italy can try UberEATS too.

Toronto’s response to UberEATS has been amazing!  In just a couple of months, we have delivered over 30,000 lunches from our mouth-watering roster of restaurant partners, including Khao San Road, Porchetta & Co., and Bar Buca.  This demand has meant exciting growth for Toronto restaurants and reliable, tasty lunch service for Toronto employers.

UberEATS is enabling restaurant partners to expand their reach and grow their businesses:

“It’s been really awesome working with UberEATS. Since we put our sandwich on the platform we’ve been selling more of them every week. The best part is that we are able to reach our customers in areas of downtown Toronto, like up at Yonge and Bloor, that might not otherwise have an opportunity to come by the restaurant. With the expanded coverage area we’re looking forward to serving even more Torontonians.” – Nick auf der Mauer, chef/owner of Porchetta & Co.

And what’s more, Toronto companies are telling us how much EATS fits in with their fast-paced work environments:

“The new exciting lunch options from UberEATS makes lunchtime more interesting in our busy day. The team at Wattpad are really big fans of UberEATS and can’t wait to see what great dishes are coming in the future.” – KC Li, Product Manager at Wattpad

We’re thrilled that UberEATS is helping to make Toronto an even tastier place and can’t wait to connect even more people with the best restaurants in Toronto at the tap of a button with our expanded coverage area:

“Influitive caters lunch for our whole team 3 days a week, but on Tuesday & Thursday our people love to order UberEATS.  The service is so appreciated that we’ve been walking the 400m to the edge of the delivery zone, so the team is delighted that the service area is expanding to include our office and we can get lunch delivered right to our front door.” – Fraser Stark, Head of Talent at Influitive
