The Moms of Uber Toronto

To celebrate Mother’s Day, we went behind the wheel with some amazing and proud moms that are hard-working Uber Partners. Read on to learn why Uber is the perfect fit for their busy, family-oriented lives.

Esther | Uber Partner, Mother of 1

“Being a Mom is my best job, but being an uberX partner is a close second.”

melissa Esther has been an Uber Partner since September 2014. Officially a mom to one daughter, Esther is actually called “mom” by many. As Esther’s daughter was growing up, she would often bring kids who ran away from home due to difficult family situations to her own home, and Esther would care for them as her own. Prior to driving on the Uber platform, Esther was a banker, a venture capitalist, and a financial planner, but she considers being a mom as her best career. Esther has penned 3 children’s books which are currently being illustrated, and enjoys dancing, karaoke, cooking, and spending time with her family. The Uber platform gives her freedom to earn at her own pace and on her own schedule. She hopes to inspire women to follow in her footsteps, and she hopes to inspire and motivate everyone she interacts with in her car.

 FarrahUber Partner, Mother of 1

“I feel like I’m a different person already.”

Farrah is a single mom with multiple sclerosis. As such, finding the right job was challenging given her daily schedule and her energy level, which is hindered by her MS. As a newly minted Uber Partner, she’s already seeing the positivity that driving on the platform is bringing her. Her son has autism spectrum disorder and has regularly scheduled doctors appointments and classes which are very costly. Uber has allowed her to work on a flexible schedule and earn on her own time. Farrah feels that governments in Canada should be supportive of Uber, and is pleased that she found an opportunity that fits her busy family life.

Are you a mom that’s looking for a flexible earning opportunity, or know a mom who would make a difference driving on the Uber platform?
