Where to Power Lunch in the Financial District

The Financial District has endless options for those looking to crush the rest of their day without breaking the bank. Here’s our list of favourites to help you add a few new options to your weekly routine or to grab and go if you’re in the area.

iQ Food Co, a restaurant in The Financial DistrictiQ Food Co

iQ Food Co. has a few different locations around the Financial District. All of which have shared menus and health, reliable options that are not only delicious but nutritious too. Grab a signature box that couples protein and fresh vegetables. You won’t be disappointed.

SweetLulu

SweetLulu has been a Financial District for a few years now. A frequent lunch destination for professionals looking for a warm, fast, filling meal. SweetLulu lets you design your own Asian-inspired dish with their 5-step menu. Choose your noodle or rice, your flavour (from curries to broths), then add herbs, vegetables, proteins, and toppings for a quick lunch that’s made just the way you like it.

b.Good, a restaurant in The Financial District

b.good

If you’re searching for a quick meal without the slow afternoon, lunch from b.good will get you through the day. It started with two friends and the concept of making people feel good about what they’re eating, and has grown to have 5 locations across Toronto and Oakville today. Try the Spicey Avocado and Lime bowl for a filling but not heavy lunch–it’s our favourite.

Marché

As an all-in-one marketplace with a range of cuisines, Marché has something for everyone. It challenges the speed of ready-made meals by preparing dishes on the spot, to let you leave in minutes. Scope out the various food stations, from Italian to Asian, Grill to Greens, and a variety of beverage bars, before making your final decisions.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is a newcomer to the neighbourhood (and Canada). The Chicago-based chain has a reputation for warm, toasty sandwiches that are sure to satisfy. Try ‘The Wreck’, one of Potbelly’s Signatures. And if you’re not in a huge hurry, enjoy it to the tunes of local musicians who play in the shop regularly.

Kupfert and Kim, a restaurant in the Financial District

Kupfert and Kim

Kupfert and Kim also has a few different locations in the Financial District. All of their offerings are completely wheatless and meatless, so even if you indulge in one of their famous rice or quinoa-based bowls, you’ll leave feeling energized and ready to make it through the rest of the afternoon—no nap needed!

The Gabardine

If you’re looking to indulge some comfort food and can budget time for a longer lunch, The Gabardine is the place for you. Try their chicken pot pie or famous mac and cheese on a rainy day and leave lunch satisfied.
