Meet UberEATS Chef Zero, El Cortez’s Lindsay Porter!

Edmonton, the new UberEATS app is here! As of 10am today, you’ll be able to access the menus of over 40 local restaurants, and have your favourite meals delivered right to your door.

And who better to kick things off than Edmonton favourite, and one of our featured restaurants, El Cortez Mexican Kitchen and Tequila Bar! Whipping up one of the first meals on the UberEATS platform was their award-winning Executive Chef Lindsay Porter, serving up some of her famous bulgogi steak tacos:

“From the colours, to the flavours, to the textures, this menu really is my form of expression. I wanted to have fun with it, so I took several traditional recipes, and added my personality to them.”

“We are really excited to align ourselves with an exclusive and new product in the Edmonton market like UberEATS. It is another avenue for us to be able to share our fun, fresh Mexicali menu with people and we hope that they will enjoy it!”

About El Cortez Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar

Just off historic Whyte Avenue, El Cortez Mexican Kitchen is truly a unique venue born out of the minds of artists. Much thought went into every detail of atmosphere in the location, including lighting, imagery, music, and décor to create another world at the foot of Whyte Ave: movie lighting designers were brought in to engineer the lighting to ensure that all photos taken would reflect patrons favourably; both local and international artists were brought in to put their mark on the walls; furniture items were painstakingly chosen and shipped from Mexico to ensure an authentic feel.

With Chef Porter at the helm in the kitchen, El Cortez has been able to rise in the Edmonton restaurant scene and be recognized as a must-visit restaurant in YEG with loyal supporters. This blend of arts and culinary excellence has made El Cortez Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar the unique venue that it is today.
