How to Enjoy La Saint-Jean’s Long Weekend
Summer is here and you now have 3 full days to fill up on Vitamin D! To celebrate the long weekend of La Fête Nationale, our Uber Quebec Team has put together these ideas of things to do: Chill in the parks, Hit a patio, Festive Gatherings.
1. CHILL IN THE PARKS
A Swim in Parc Laurier
Recommended by Carole
With Parc Laurier’s outdoor pool, you’ll forget you’re in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal. Get your flip flops, sunscreen, your favorite sunglasses, a good book, and voila! While you are in the neighbourhood, take some time to explore the local shops, such as Noble Cafe, Le Fromentier or Bilboquet.
Tennis at Parc Jeanne-Mance
Recommended by Chris
After 4 days at your desk, stretch out and get those muscles moving! Start your day strong with a tennis match in the morning, then take the rest of the afternoon to relax in the sunshine with a good book.
BBQ at Parc de la Cité-du-Havre
Recommended by JN
Parc de la Cité-du-Havre is a best-kept city secret–we all know where the park but have never been. This peninsula offers a breathtaking view of downtown while still allowing you to escape and be surrounded by nature. Bring a small portable BBQ and grill some burgers and fresh veggies. Bon appetit!
2. HIT A PATIO
A Caffe at Olimpico
Recommended by Anton
This Italian mile-end institution has served coffee since the seventies. Hot or cold, drinks are prepared simply and quickly at an affordable price. Enjoy your cappuccino and cannoli on the sunny terrace to boost your energy levels.
Cocktails at Bar Kabinet
Recommended by JC
Travel without the hassle of luggage. Sit at Kabinet’s large patio, this Russian bar with an exotic flare will bring you above the Red Square and transform you into Nicolas 2 and Anastasia. Choose the Moscow Mule cocktail, made with fresh home-made ginger syrup, or a Spritz if you are craving something more Italian.
Good Wine and Good Food at Vin Papillon
Recommended by Mel
Part of the Joe Beef family of restaurants, Little Burgundy has a back terrace open from 3pm on. On the plate, the focus is on the vegetables, while the natural wines will perfectly accompany your dish.
3. FESTIVE GATHERINGS
Village au Pied-du-Courant
Recommended by Tom
Along the St. Lawrence River, under the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, this free outdoor venue offers concerts, food trucks, drink–plus a beach. Starting at 3pm this Friday, celebrate La Saint-Jean with three Quebecois DJs.

Sunday (as with every Sunday of the summer), Parc Jean-Drapeau is the place to be. Dance to the rhythm of electronic music under the sun for an unforgettable experience that you’ll want to repeat over and over again!

And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
