Introducing Innisfil Transit, the first ride-sharing transit partnership in Canada
The Town of Innisfil and Uber today launched Canada’s first ridesharing-transit partnership. Through this partnership, the Town of Innisfil will subsidize a portion of the fare for all trips taken by residents within Innisfil, while offering additional subsidies for rides going to and from transit hubs.
Scarborough and Brampton, meet uberPOOL
Starting today, uberPOOL will also be available in Brampton and Scarborough. uberPOOL will give residents the option to share their journey with another rider heading in the same direction at the same time. This will mean more people in fewer cars, cheaper rides for passengers, and less time between trips for drivers.
