UberAccess: Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles Available At The Tap Of A Button

At Uber we are committed to building and supporting solutions that enable everyone to move around their communities. As reliable transportation remains one of the largest challenges for those in the disability community in Toronto, we wanted to reintroduce ACCESS.
To help support the community and to ensure the thousands of visiting athletes and fans can get around our beautiful city during the games for the next few weeks, we’ve amped up the number of cars on the road to make ACCESS even more reliable.
ACCESS allows those who need a wheelchair accessible vehicle in Toronto to request a ride at the tap of a button – 24 hours a day. ACCESS does not require any advance booking and will be an easy, cashless experience from request to drop-off.
See first hand how Matt Simpson, USABA National Team Athlete who’s participating in the games, is using Uber to get around. Matt happens to be blind. Reliable transportation plays a major role in making his life easier. See how Uber has impacted his life.
As we continue to innovate to increase mobility for all riders, we want to hear feedback from you. Let us know about your Uber experience and how we can enhance our service for Torontonians.

And today, more than 40,000 restaurants globally–from poke shops to pasta spots–are sharing food with customers through UberEATS. With a growing restaurant community comes more choices and more complexity. So we’re cooking up features to continue to make UberEATS easy and reliable. Here is a taste–
