Rider Stories: Monica Zaldivar #freeuberlin

LANGUAGE: German | English

Monica is a superstar community manager who’s been living in Berlin for well over 7 years. There’s hardly anyone who has not heard of her, she is always helpful and always on top of her social media game – so definitely follow her on twitter. She is a strong supporter of Uber in Berlin and we couldn’t be happier! Here’s what Monica shared with us…

NAME: Monica

CITY: Berlin

JOB: Marketing Manger

1. Tell us something about yourself. Who are you and what are you doing in Berlin and in life?

Monica: I’m a Catalan who’s been living more than 7 years now in this amazing city and I never stop exploring each corner looking for more adventures. I’m all about social, startups and having fun.

2. What’s your favourite spot in Berlin?

Monica: That’s a long list, but basically anywhere where you can sit by some water with friends and drinks, just to look at the crazy Berlin types pass by.

3. What is making your life easier? What are you doing for yourself to get your head free?

Monica: Whenever I’m stressed out or in a bad mood, I lift my head and look for the Fernsehturm, the Berlin TV tower. Just looking at it reminds me I’m really privileged to live in this city in this time. So whatever is wrong, it doesn’t matter: I’m in Berlin and it all will be fine.

4. What are you doing to have more time for the important things in life?

Monica: I’m slowly losing the constant FAMO (Fear Of Missing Out) feeling that sticks to you all the time is Berlin. There’s way too much to do, so I just do what’s on the way I’m going in the moment.

5. What’s your destination (where are you taking your uberTAXI ride to?)

To West Berlin. So many exciting things happening there, but the bike ride is too long. Whenever I feel like Bikini, Monkey Bar, NENI, C/O or a more comfy Dolores experience, I ditch my bike.

Thank you, Monica. We’re looking forward to seeing you Ubering around town!
