50,000 Meals For OzHarvest

We’re excited to announce that due to the generosity of the our community we’ve raised enough funds for OzHarvest to deliver more than 50,000 meals to vulnerable men, women and children across Australia.

On Friday, Uber announced an ongoing partnership with OzHarvest in support of their mission to eradicate food wastage and nourish our country. We’re committed to working with OzHarvest to help continue to improve the cities we live in by recognising and making the most of the resources we already have, be that sharing an under-utilised private vehicle or rescuing food that would otherwise go to landfill.

Between 12-2pm we delivered close to 1,000 lunches on-demand across Australia with 100% of proceeds going direct to OzHarvest where $1 = 2 meals to people in need.

Here’s a look at some of the action across Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Adelaide:
