Tulsa, We’re Bringing Uber to You!
Tulsa spoke, and we listened! We’re happy to announce that Uber is up and running in the city of the Center of the Universe!
Uber is hitting the streets of Tulsa with our ultra-affordable ridesharing option uberX. Tulsa’s Young Professionals (TYPros) kicked off the day booking rides 0, 1, 2 and 3! With packed social calendars and lots of awesome networking events they’re as excited as we are to hit the ground running.
TYPros are responsible for tons of exciting initiatives in the city, focusing on retaining young professionals and growing the city’s business leaders of tomorrow. Their campaign “Bring it to Tulsa” has ignited some pretty incredible developments in Tulsa, including today’s launch of uberX. The whole “If you build it, he will come” motto definitely holds true for things other than baseball folks, as seen by this TYPros grand slam.
With the tap of a button, Tulsans can now be connected to the safest, most reliable transportation providers in the city. Never get stranded at the Center of the Universe again. Enjoy all the concerts at Cain’s without the stress of parking.
On uberX, you’ll find mid-range or hybrid vehicles in a variety of colors and styles, with seating for up to four people. Uber will connect you with the closest available driver in town, ready to pick you up in minutes. You’ll see a photo of your driver, the car they are driving, and even watch them on the app as they drive toward you.
