Announcing Uber’s U.S. Safety Advisory Board

We are excited to announce the establishment of the Uber Safety Advisory Board, a group of experts who bring a wealth of expertise and experience spanning several aspects of safety. These advisors will provide critical recommendations and counsel as we continue to develop new methods and technologies that reduce risk and increase safety for riders, drivers, and the public.

Today we are one step closer to our vision of UberEverywhere — a bold idea that no matter where you are, a reliable ride with Uber is just 5 minutes away. With today’s launch of 24 new markets, the Uber network is now available in 205 cities across 45 countries and 6 continents worldwide (bring it, Antarctica!) — more than double our #Uber100 milestone reached just four months ago.

As Demand Grows in Australia and New Zealand, So Does Uber

Today, in Australia and New Zealand, the Gold Coast and Wellington became the latest cities to welcome Uber, joining over 180 cities globally and bringing our regional tally to nine.

Warsaw, Your Secret Ubers Are Here!

Warsaw or the “Phoenix City” is a master of reinvention. From the statuesque beauty of the palaces, royal gardens and grand parks to the ever-connected tech-savvy Warsawian, there are many layers to this timeless city. And now with the arrival of uberPOP, it’s time to reinvent the transportation game in Warszawa.

A Leader for the Uber Campaign

Our roots are technology, not politics, writing code and rolling out transportation systems. The result is that not enough people here in America and around the world know our story, our mission, and the positive impact we’re having. Uber has been in a campaign but hasn’t been running one. That is changing now.

Putting Your Ride on Cruise Control

We envision a day when there is no coordination necessary to take an Uber ride. Simply push the button, and the rest is essentially on cruise control: the car quickly shows up at exactly the right place and whisks you away to your destination via the best possible route. The latest rider and driver app releases take us one step closer to that world with two new features.
