What’s the Craic Dublin?
Only a few short weeks ago, we began our testing phase with UberBLACK in the home of the black stuff and the response from Dubliners has been nothing short of brilliant.
From the cobblestones of Temple Bar to the epicentre of European technology at the ‘Silicon Docks’, Dubliners have welcomed the arrival of Uber with true Irish hospitality and we can’t thank you enough!
365 days a year Uber will be here to bring quality, style and innovation to getting around town.
In the spirit of facilitating connections in the vibrant technology ecosystem that is Dublin, for one day only, we wanted to do something exciting that helps showcase some of the amazing people that call Dublin home.
INTRODUCING THE UBER PITCH
To kick off our official launch in Dublin, we’ve partnered with some of Dublin’s finest investment and technology leaders like Eamon Leonard, Conor Stanley, Ciaran Lee and many more to help connect the bright stars of Dublin’s business and technology community with an opportunity to pitch their business!
Beyond the connections entrepreneurs can make, all participants will be invited to an amazing night of networking and fun as we officially launch Uber in Dublin. The best pitch on the day will receive €500 in Uber credit so that you can stay focused on what matters, and not have to worry about how you’re getting to your next meeting.

Today, we are excited to announce that Uber will give $5.5M to support a new robotics faculty chair as well as three fellowships at CMU. This gift is part of a partnership we announced earlier this year. In addition, we’re pumped to be part of a growing innovation ecosystem in Pittsburgh that includes world leading research institutions and companies, as well as an increasing number of start-ups.
