Hello Detroit: Secret Ubers Rolling in Motor City

“Detroit. Where just about everything cool originated.” Words by famed traveler Anthony Bourdain. Home to Motown, the Big Three, and the best coney dog you’ve ever had, we have a hard time disagreeing and that’s why we’re stoked to have landed in the Motor City. That’s right — secret Ubers have begun roaming the streets of Detroit and its close-by suburbs!

It’s no secret that transportation is at the heart of Detroit so it didn’t take long for Lions star Defensive Lineman Ndamukong Suh to get wind of our arrival.

With that, Uber Detroit is on! We’re still in test phase, where supply is limited and we’re still working to get things perfect, but we encourage you to try us out using the iPhone or Android app, or mobile site accessible at m.uber.com! We’d love your feedback too — give us a shout-out at @Uber_DET.

Kick up your heels, Detroiters. It’s on.
