Never Underestimate the Power of #UberDCLove

Never underestimate the power of thousands of loyal supporters armed with email, social media, and a cause. With YOUR help, we’ve successfully kept the #UberDCLove alive and convinced the DC Council to strike down the minimum fare language for the Uber Amendment. Whether you sent an email, a tweet, posted on Facebook, or just told your friends, we really can’t thank you enough for stepping up and helping us out when we needed you most.

In addition, don’t forget to thank Councilmembers Jack Evans, Tommy Wells, Michael Brown, and David Catania for stepping up in support of Uber. Their leadership is greatly admired, and we hope the rest of the DC Council will follow their lead in supporting innovation, choice, and technology for better transportation here in DC.

Send a thank-you tweet to these supportive council members!

Unfortunately, this fight is far from over. The bill that was passed today will be reviewed again by the Council in late September and we’ll need our full army ready to help us again. But for now, ride easy. You guys are amazing.

Finally, we’ve tallied up some numbers to show you how much you’ve accomplished in less than 24 hours. Check it out. 🙂

  • More than 50,000 emails sent to DC Councilmembers by constituents and Uber supporters
