Uber Sighting in DC?!

Seeing as Washingtonians are all about changing our country and are always on the move, we’re going to try and change some things up for you, namely the way you move about the city!

Our secret Ubers are on the road and *testing* has begun. So, who is the famous rider zero?

It’s Hooman Radfar, Co-Founder of Clearspring and a man who loves innovation! As one of the more prominent tech companies in DC, we’re excited to have Hooman in the back seat!

Again, although cars are on the road, keep in mind this is research mode; we’re learning and testing and the experience will get better with your feedback. During this time, we’ll have limited supply and low availability, however if you’re one of the lucky ones who gets a ride, please send us your thoughts to supportDC@uber.com or on Twitter @Uber_DC.

Cheers,

Team @Uber_DC

Introducing Xchange Leasing: Lease Options Built for Uber Driver-Partners

We have developed a new pilot program – Xchange Leasing – which is a leasing option administered by an Uber subsidiary and designed to fit with the flexibility that drivers value most. The Xchange lease is one of a kind, and offers value that traditional auto leases do not provide. Unlike most multi-year leases that have high fees for early termination, drivers who participate in Xchange for at least 30 days will be able to return the car with only two weeks notice, and limited additional costs. The program allows for unlimited mileage and the option to lease a used car, with routine maintenance also included.
