After The Snow It’s The After Party – Dallas NYE 2012
If you thought a white Christmas in Dallas was exciting, prepare yourself, it gets better. Learn about all of the events Uber is involved with heading into the New Year.
LIGHTS ALL NIGHT
Do you like pulse-pounding, ear-drumming, bone-rattling, teeth-clenching, heart-thumping, bass? If so, then get yourself down to the nation’s largest NYE dance festival, Lights All Night, as it is back for another year in Dallas. From the 29th – 31st, Fair Park is playing host to top electro artists like Tiesto, Avicii, Bassnectar and Calvin Harris; just to name a few. Use code “LANDALLAS” and receive $20 off your first ride. We’ll be on-site handing out awesome Uber party favors. Also, four lucky Uber riders per day will receive golden ticket, VIP festival upgrades. Be on the lookout for the Uber tent and our street team. See you there!
NEW YEAR’S EVE
This is our equivalent of the Super Bowl. As they say, big time players step up in big time games. To add to the festivities we are introducing our secret weapon…If you request an “SUV” there’s a chance you and your crew will get picked up in a STRETCH LIMO! We see no reason to end the gift-giving just because Christmas is over. Please note, New Year’s Eve is a “surge” event – a time where we expect demand to outpace supply. In order to guarantee a ride for everyone, our prices will change dynamically throughout the night. For more information, check out this blog post.
HEART OF DALLAS BOWL
Everyone knows watching football is the best remedy for a hangover. On New Year’s Day, Uber is back at Fair Park where the Oklahoma State Cowboys square off against the Purdue Boilermakers in the Heart of Dallas Bowl. For the game, we’re offering $30 off a new user’s first ride with promo code “HOD.” We’ll be at the tailgate extra early, so make sure you stop by the Uber tent. Who knows, we may even have a few extra tickets!
This is just a taste of what’s going down in Dallas over the next few days. Please be safe and if you’re drinking then let us do the driving. Contact SupportDallas@Uber.com or @Uber_Dallas if you have any questions about our upcoming events.
Happy New Year,
Andrew, your Dallas Community Manager
