Updated Uber iPhone app (1.0.39) released
The latest version of Uber (1.0.39) on iPhone is about to hit with some neat features you’ve been asking for!
One of the biggies is the updated ability to type and search for an address, rather than solely relying on the pin. We know this has been a sticking point for some users with GPS issues and we’re excited to make life a little easier!
Other updates include: embedding the ‘Forgot Password’ page, so that you’ll be able to more quickly get your hands on any stray passwords; the ability to enter a promotional code directly on iPhone. There’s also a special (belated) Easter treat with a secret new function for Facebook users.
First to find the Easter egg gets $10 credit – email us when you’ve got it: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’re excited to get your feedback on the new features, so please hit us up with any suggestions / questions on Facebook, Twitter or email. Oh, and if you really like the app, we’d so greatly appreciate your rating in the iTunes store!
A typical ride: you request, have small talk with your driver, and safely get where you need to go. For Jonathan, a driver-partner in California, his rides are anything but ordinary — he wants his passengers to have fun and turned each trip into a dance party — and now the latest viral video. We caught up with the man in front of the cam to learn more about what inspired him to create this feel-good video.
A new report conducted in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reveals that when empowered with more transportation options like Uber, people are making better choices that save lives.
New technologies are creating opportunities no one could have imagined. To understand Uber’s place in that trend, we commissioned a survey of our driver-partners and put together a comprehensive analysis.
