Your Meeting is Our Priority
Through user surveys, we’ve found that people using Uber during the evenings and weekends actually do need us during the week. You need a driver they can trust, and that won’t break the bank. You need the night time sleek to be matched by day time utility. That’s exactly Uber.
You may have heard Uber’s bringing the heat with the current, two-week Ride and Shine Morning Special! You get picked up in professional limos and town cars in the a.m. for the price of a taxi. But how can you take advantage of this amazingly Uber offer???
When you have a meeting in the city and your schedule is tight, here’s how you can make Uber work best for you…
- Request: Uber’s average pickup time is 8m 27s. This means that you can hit the button on your phone or shoot off a quick text at the end of a meeting and be on your way quickly. We recommend planning ahead by about 10 minutes to allow for any hiccups, but good luck moving around this smoothly in the city using those yellow cars :)
- Arrival: When your driver arrives, he’ll alert you about 2 minutes in advance. If you think you’ll be more than 2-3 minutes, feel free to give the driver a quick ring. The drivers working with Uber are here and excited to serve, so they’re happy to work with you to make the experience perfect.
- Punctuality: Your meeting is important, and getting you there safely and on-time is important to us. Make sure to plan accordingly and Uber will get you to your meeting or to the airport on time!
- Records: You’ll receive an email of your trip fare (no need to pay any cash or even tip during the ride) and it will be automatically charged to your account, much like iTunes. The email receipt makes for an easy way to file, expense or track costs (if you go to the website, you can view all of your trips visually as well as the details of cost, mileage, etc.).
A typical ride: you request, have small talk with your driver, and safely get where you need to go. For Jonathan, a driver-partner in California, his rides are anything but ordinary — he wants his passengers to have fun and turned each trip into a dance party — and now the latest viral video. We caught up with the man in front of the cam to learn more about what inspired him to create this feel-good video.
A new report conducted in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reveals that when empowered with more transportation options like Uber, people are making better choices that save lives.
New technologies are creating opportunities no one could have imagined. To understand Uber’s place in that trend, we commissioned a survey of our driver-partners and put together a comprehensive analysis.
