Uber: The Travel Game Changer
Travel is getting smarter and more efficient thanks to technology…
TripIt helps you aggregate all of your travel plans into one easy to handle interface . Flightracker keeps you up to date on delays, cancelations and alternate flights. GateGuru makes you aware of everything going on in your terminal. The Currency app gives you the current exchange rates across the globe. But what about getting to and from the airport??? You want deserve the same conveniences in your to and from airport trips as you get at the airport or on the flight. That’s where Uber comes in, making your travel to and from the airport easier, more comfortable and more efficient.
Rates & Availability
With our recent push towards greater availability and our new $65 SFO Airport Flat Rates (*not compatible with Ride and Shine Special), you can request a car as you’re zipping up your suitcase and track closely as your driver nears your location. Airports are stressful enough in regards to cash (tipping the luggage gal, paying $10 for a bottle of water, coins setting of the metal detector), so Uber’s no cash / no tipping policy is a HUGE relief. Simply get in and get out. Simple, easy and comfortable.
If you’re landing from SFO, Uber can come to your rescue.
1.) Request an Uber car while landing or from the baggage claim using the apps (for text message use “1 McDonnell Rd, SF”).
2.) Call your driver to confirm your airline and pickup gate .
3.) The app will alert you as the driver arrives. Easy. And again, if you spent all of your cash on drinks and food at the airport earlier…no worries. Uber’s got you covered.
Traveling is shifting from being horrific, to something far more pleasant, and Uber is a helping pioneer the way to comfort.
“Ted Striker: Surely you can’t be serious.
Rumack: I am serious… and don’t call me Shirley.” -Airplane
A typical ride: you request, have small talk with your driver, and safely get where you need to go. For Jonathan, a driver-partner in California, his rides are anything but ordinary — he wants his passengers to have fun and turned each trip into a dance party — and now the latest viral video. We caught up with the man in front of the cam to learn more about what inspired him to create this feel-good video.
A new report conducted in partnership with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) reveals that when empowered with more transportation options like Uber, people are making better choices that save lives.
New technologies are creating opportunities no one could have imagined. To understand Uber’s place in that trend, we commissioned a survey of our driver-partners and put together a comprehensive analysis.
